1. Nissan Midsize SUV
Nissan has outlined its ambitious product roadmap for India, with four all-new models in the pipeline. Leading this lineup is a compact MPV based on the Renault Triber’s platform. However, the spotlight is firmly on the upcoming midsize SUV, which is expected to debut before the end of the current financial year. This new entrant aims to strengthen Nissan’s position in the competitive SUV segment.

2. Next-Gen Renault Duster
Renault is gearing up to revive the iconic Duster in India within the next year. Built on the heavily localized CMF-B+ modular platform, the new-generation Duster is set to arrive alongside its Nissan sibling, possibly featuring a hybrid powertrain. Significant updates in design, features, and performance are expected, making it a major upgrade over its predecessor.
3. Mahindra XUV700 Facelift
Mahindra is planning a mid-cycle refresh for the XUV700, set to launch in 2026. The facelifted model will receive subtle design tweaks inside and out, along with additional features to stay ahead in the segment. Power will continue to come from the existing 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol engines. Meanwhile, an all-electric three-row SUV based on the XUV.e8 concept is also in development.
4. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara
Maruti Suzuki’s first fully electric SUV, the e-Vitara, is slated to hit the market around September or October 2025. Expected to offer over 500 km of range on a single charge, it will be available via Nexa dealerships with two battery pack options. Built on the new Heartect e-skateboard platform, the e-Vitara will also spawn a Toyota counterpart expected later this year.

5. Toyota Fortuner Mild-Hybrid (MHEV)
Toyota is readying a 48V mild-hybrid version of the popular Fortuner SUV for India. The MHEV variant will pair the 2.8-litre GD diesel engine with a mild-hybrid system to improve torque delivery, fuel efficiency, and emissions. Already available in several global markets, this electrified Fortuner is expected to maintain its rugged appeal with added eco-friendly credentials.
