McLaren Unveils New Artura Spider : McLaren has exciting news as they unveil the stunning Artura Spider convertible supercar. Not only is the drop-top version making waves, but McLaren is also introducing powertrain upgrades for both the Spider and Artura coupe models, set to roll out from mid-2024.
McLaren Artura Spider Brings Open-Top Thrills
The Artura Spider is a convertible supercar that offers a unique driving experience. One of its standout features is the retractable hardtop, which can be opened or closed in just 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. McLaren has engineered the roof out of lightweight carbon fiber to minimize weight, ensuring that the Artura Spider weighs only 62 kg more than the coupe at a total weight of 1,559 kg. This makes it a lightweight and agile supercar that delivers an exceptional driving experience.
The Artura Spider maintains the iconic silhouette and dihedral doors of the coupe while receiving some stylish updates to its rear design. The rear quarter glass has been removed, and the flying buttresses now feature fixed carbon fiber roll hoops. Additionally, glass inserts in the buttresses have been added to enhance rear visibility for the driver. These enhancements not only elevate the Spider’s aesthetics but also improve functionality for an enhanced driving experience.
