Tata Motors Set to Launch 4 New SUVs in India Soon
Tata Motors is poised to launch the highly anticipated Harrier EV in India, with its official debut scheduled for June 3, 2025. Following this, the company plans to introduce the new Sierra, which will be available in both electric and internal combustion variants, including petrol and diesel options. Although exact launch dates are yet to be confirmed, both models are expected to arrive within the current financial year.
Recently, Tata also unveiled the refreshed Altroz facelift in India, featuring upgraded specifications and enhancements to both the interior and exterior design. Earlier this year, Tata showcased the near-production version of the Sierra at BMGE 2025, generating considerable interest ahead of its launch.

Designed to perform beyond urban environments, the electric Harrier will be available in both single-motor and dual-motor variants. The dual-motor configuration offers an all-wheel-drive system, enhancing traction and capability across challenging terrains. Both versions are anticipated to provide an impressive driving range exceeding 500 kilometres on a single charge.
Meanwhile, Tata is expected to launch the internal combustion engine (ICE) variant of the Sierra towards the end of 2025. This model will likely retain the proven 2.0-litre diesel engine, producing approximately 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are expected to include a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic, catering to diverse driving preferences.

Tata Motors has entered into a partnership with FCA to enhance the Multijet diesel powertrain, signaling upcoming improvements and potential expansion within the brand’s diesel engine lineup. Additionally, Tata is expected to launch its highly anticipated 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the Sierra, a powertrain projected to deliver around 168 PS and 280 Nm of torque.
